किताब मनुष्य के जीवन के लिए एक अच्छे दोस्त की तरह भूमिका निभाती है। किताब मनुष्य को अकेलापन दूर करवाती है और किताब मनुष्य को महान बनाने में बहुत महत्व रखती है। किताब हर इंसान को आदर्श बनाती है और किताब से व्यक्ति जीवन भर तक सीख सकता है। किताब ही ज्ञान का खजाना है, जहां से जितना चाहो उतना ज्ञान हासिल कर सकते हो।

विद्यार्थी के जीवन में भी पुस्तक का बहुत ही ज्यादा महत्व होता है। विद्यार्थी के जीवन की शुरुआत संघर्ष और ज्ञान प्राप्त करने की चाहत होती है। ऐसे में किताब वहां विद्यार्थी के जीवन में एक नया मोड़ लाती है और विद्यार्थी को जहान अर्जित करवाने का काम करती है। पुस्तक को पढ़ना मनुष्य को बेहतर अहसास करवाता है।

केन्द्रीय विद्यालय ओएनजीसी (तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस निगम) देहरादून की लाइब्रेरी लगभग पूरी तरह से वातानुकूलित सुविधाओं के साथ एक ज्ञान केंद्र के रूप में कार्य कर रही है। 17000 पुस्तकें, 40 पत्रिकाएँ (साप्ताहिक, मासिक, पाक्षिक आदि), 2 समाचार पत्र हिन्दी और 2 समाचार पत्र अंग्रेजी माध्यम में। केन्द्रीय विद्यालय की लाइब्रेरी ओएनजीसी प्राथमिक अनुभाग में क्लास लाइब्रेरी प्रदान करती है और अलमारी को अंग्रेजी वर्णमाला और अन्य आकर्षक के रूप में डिजाइन किया है, और यह खुली पहुंच वाली लाइब्रेरी है और छात्र अपनी पसंद के अनुसार अपनी पुस्तकों का चयन करते हैं।

Library of Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC (Oil and Natural Gas Corporation) Dehradun is functioning as a knowledge hub with fully airconditionedequipped approx. 17000 Books, 40 Magazines (weekly, monthly, fortnightly etc.), 2 news paper hindi and 2 news paper in english medium. Library of Kendriya Vidyalaya ONGC provides Class Library in Primary Section and designed Almirah as English Alphabets and other attractive, and it is open access library and students reached and select their books as they like.

third Indian lunar exploration mission under the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Chandrayaan programme. It consists of a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan, similar to those of the Chandrayaan-2 mission. The propulsion module carried the lander and rover configuration to lunar orbit in preparation for a powered descent by the lander

Chandrayaan-3 was launched on 14 July 2023. The spacecraft entered lunar orbit on 5 August, and the lander touched down in the lunar south pole region^[9] on 23 August 2023 at 12:32 UTC, making India the fourth country to successfully land on the Moon, and the first to do so near the lunar south pole. Congratulating the ISRO team behind the successful Chandrayaan-3 Moon Mission at ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network in Bengaluru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the touchdown point of the Vikram lander would henceforth be known as the ‘Shivshakti Point' He further declared August 23, the day the Vikram lander descended on the moon, as 'National Space Day'
